The Pearland Police Department is happy to host the 10-week Polygraph Institute’s Basic Polygraph Examiner Course.

Our basic polygraph examiner course focuses on validated test formats, the Empirical Scoring System, and the use of computer-assisted scoring tools to make scientifically-backed decisions regarding truth and deception. Our forensic interview courses emphasize the use of free narrative techniques, enabling the identification of evidence-based cues to accurately determine truthfulness. For untruthful subjects, our psychology-based behavioral intervention methods are grounded in scientific approaches, designed to increase admissions and facilitate a better flow of information.
Our instructors are the creators of the Single-Issue Screening Test (SIST), a cutting-edge format for pre-employment and post-conviction sex offender testing. Known for its strong defensibility in court, the SIST is widely regarded as one of the most reliable polygraph tests for pre-employment, tactical polygraph, and sex offender supervision applications.
