Electric Vehicle Crash and Fire Safety for First Responders (May 13, 2026 8am-10am)

There are various new hazards associated with Li-Ion and Electric vehicle fires. Since PD will often be first on scene to Electric Vehicle motor vehicle incidents, it is very important to offer training to the Pearland Police Department on safety considerations, when to dispatch FD and actions to take prior to FD arrival. There have already been incidents of medical retirements from a single exposure to the hazards of EV emergencies.
