DESCRIPTION:This two-week interactive and experiential program is designed to equip and inspire new supervisors\,\nand reinvigorate senior supervisors\, for the challenges of the fast paced and fluid world of law\nenforcement leadership. This course will meet the basic requirements established by TCOLE for the\npreparation of new supervisors for their supervisory role. Successful graduates of this course will\nreceive 70 hours credit for the TCOLE New Supervisor’s Course 3737.\n\nTOPICS \n• Accountability\n• Case Law Update and Supervisory Responsibility\n• Managing Difficult Employees\n• Inclusive Leadership\n• Employee Motivation and Counseling\n• Courageous Followership\n• Leadership 101\n• Leadership Styles and Communication\n• Policing and Social Justice\n• Honoring Boundaries: Preventing Sexual Harassment\n• Responding to Critical Incidents\n• Risk Management\n• Role Identification and Transition\n• Special Investigative Issues\n• TCOLE Rules\n\nWHO SHOULD ATTEND \nThis course is aimed at newly promoted sworn and civilian supervisors; however\, veteran supervisors\nwishing to sharpen the saw will also find this course beneficial. \nTUITION | LOCATION | TIMES \nTUITION \n$600 TMLIRP Member Agencies* | $1\,200 Non-TMLIRP Members\nTuition includes all instruction and handouts.
