DESCRIPTION:Description \nThe course will be 8-hours long and include training in Patrol Rifle proficiency and survival tactics. This course is designed to improve the student’s ability to successfully engage targets accurately with speed. The dynamics of Patrol Rifle will be discussed and practiced. Emergency medical procedures will be covered as part of the training. \nThis course meets Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) requirements #3342 \nPrerequisite \nAny Commissioned / Licensed Peace Officer\nAttended Basic Patrol Rifle Course \nTopics\n• Patrol Rifle Fundamentals\n• Medical Emergencies\n• Shooting with speed and accuracy\n\nAudience\n• Currently commissioned Texas peace officers\n\nRequirements \nPatrol Rifle – Magazine fed semi-automatic rifle that uses and was manufactured for the use of detachable magazines with sling\, 3 magazines and magazine pouches. No Folding Stocks or Binary Trigger systems allowed. Trigger pull weight must be no less than 3.5 lbs. Short Barrel Rifles must have a barrel length of no less than 10″ and accompanied by your NFA Short Barrel Rifle Tax Stamp.
